Four-time champion Tiger Woods has been paired with defending champion Y E Yang and Vijay Singh at the US PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.

Yang became the first Asian man to win a Major when he held off Woods to win by three strokes last year, while Singh won the title the last time the event was held at Whistling Straits in 2004, six years after he won the title for the first time in 1998.

Woods last won the title in 2007, but has been struggling to rediscover his form this season, and narrowly avoided losing his world No. 1 status to Phil Mickelson after finishing 18-over-par at the Bridgestone Invitational.

In arguably the strongest grouping, US Open champion Graeme McDowell has been drawn to play with Masters champion Mickelson and Open champion Louis Oosthuizen for the opening two rounds.

Rory McIlroy, meanwhile will play with world No. 4 Steve Stricker and Australian Adam Scott.
