McIlroy to begin PGA Tour season in Florida

Rory McIlroy will kick off his PGA Tour season at the first stop on the Florida swing, the Honda Classic, tournament officials announced on Thursday.
Since 2012, McIlroy made headlines every time he has teed it up at the Honda Classic.
That year, he won the tournament by two shots over Tiger Woods to become world No.1 for the first time in his career.
Then, in 2013, McIlroy famously walked off the course on the ninth hole, citing a toothache. He later apologised and admitted it was a mistake to withdraw from the tournament.
In 2014, McIlroy missed out on his second Honda Classic title in three years after losing in a four-man play-off to eventual champion Russell Henley.
McIlroy is currently in action at the at the Abu Dhabi Championship on the European Tour, where he opened with a five-under 67 thanks to a late birdie blitz.
