Oosthuizen out of Dunhill Links Championship

Open champion Louis Oosthuizen has pulled out of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship after suffering an ankle injury during a hunting trip.
The South African had been on a hunting expedition in his homeland when he stepped in a pothole and subsequent tests have revealed damage to his ankle ligaments.
The injury is a blow to Oosthuizen as it denies him the chance to return to the scene of his Open victory at St Andrews, while it is also a letdown for event organisers as the South African was due to line up alongside US Open champion Graeme McDowell and US PGA winner Martin Kaymer. It would have been the first time in the 10-year history of the event that three of the four current major champions had taken part.
The tournament, which is a pro-am played over three courses - Kingsbarns and Carnoustie being the others - has an international flavour as Ryder Cup stars Lee Westwood, Padraig Harrington, Rory McIlroy, Ross Fisher, Peter Hanson, Edoardo Molinari and Francesco Molinari will be in the field, alongside Ernie Els, Retief Goosen and John Daly.
