- Justin Timberlake Shriners Open, Round Three
Laird shoots to Las Vegas lead
Scotland's Martin Laird has snatched the lead at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Open after backing up his stunning round on Friday with an impressive eight-under 63 on Saturday.
Laird launched into contention with a round of 62 on Friday and following his latest effort, which featured six birdies and an eagle, he hasn't recorded a bogey since midway through his first round on Thursday. His hot streak has included a run of 26 holes across the last two days which he went through 16 under par.
He holds the lead at 19-under although Jonathan Byrd is hot on his heels one stroke back. The favourable conditions see 25 players at 11-under or better with one day to go, meaning Laird's lead is far from safe.
Australia's Cameron Percy fired a 62 of his own on Saturday to move into a tie for third with Webb Simpson at 17-under. Percy's nine-under round featured eight birdies and an eagle.
The other Brit in action, England's Brian Davis, is hanging in at seven-under. His eventful two under round contained four birdies, four bogeys and an eagle.
