McDowell revved up for major fight

Graeme McDowell has insisted he will not rest on his laurels of 2010, with the Ulsterman convinced he can continue to improve as a player and challenge for more major titles.
McDowell had a superb season last year, with the US Open title one of four wins he claimed - while he played a pivotal role in Europe's Ryder Cup success at Celtic Manor.
This season has not gone according to plan for McDowell, as his form has been wildly inconsistent. At the weekend, he passed up a position of authority in his bid to defend the Wales Open title he won 12 months ago and is aware his form needs improving upon.
McDowell will tee it up at Congressional in a fortnight for the defence of his US Open title and he is determined to challenge for the top honours in the game.
"I feel like I can win more major championships," McDowell told Sky Sports News. "I feel I have got that mentality that is needed to win major championships.
"It will be emotional to hand it back," he said of the US Open trophy. "But I will tee it up with the hope that I can retain it.
"I have gone off the boil a little bit, but this game deals you the odd rough patch. Despite what happened in 2010, what with the US Open, the Ryder Cup and winning four times in a season and getting to No. 4 in the world, I am still a golfer and want to win and be the best I can be."
