Scot Craig Lee and Italian Andrea Perrino jumped to the top of the second round leaderboard at the Saint Omer Open after rounds of 68 and 69 respectively saw them move to five-under.

Lee finished the later of the two, bogeying the 15th to drop back from six-under but nevertheless offsetting his two other bogeys with six birdies to improve on his first round score by one.

Meanwhile the 27-year-old Perrino, a regular on the Challenge Tour this season, started on the tenth and found two shots on his outward nine to reach five-under early, before finding a birdie on the third to improve even more against par.

A mistake on the par-five seventh saw him hand a shot back, however, ensuring he would finish with a 69 to not quite match his opening 68.

South African George Coetzee failed to build on his first round 66 with a disappointing 72 that saw him slip out of the lead and back to four-under.

Coetzee appeared to be on course for another good round until he reached the par-five 14th, where a double-bogey seven dropped him from the top spot.

England's Benn Barham plotted his way around in 69 to put himself firmly in contention at two-under, alongside a number of other names.

Compatriots Steven Tilley and Lee Slattery are both a shot further back, after carding rounds of 72 and 68 respectively.
