Nico Rosberg is now one reprimand away from a grid penalty after picking up his second of the season in Japan.

In FP3 Rosberg slowed in the middle of the track on the run to 130R, causing Charles Pic to have to take avoiding action. The stewards decided that Rosberg should have made it clear which side Pic needed to pass on and have handed him his second reprimand of the season as a result; one more reprimand will earn him an automatic 10-place grid penalty.

The stewards decision read: "Car 9 slowed to less than 90 km/h when car 20 was closing at full speed on the straight.

"The speed differential was approximately 200 km/h at the point where car 20 needed to decide on which side to pass. The driver of car 9 conceded that he should have more clearly indicated to car 20 on which side he could pass, by moving to one side."

Rosberg's first reprimand was handed out at Silverstone for failing to slow for yellow flags during the British Grand Prix, a race which he won.
