Hungary should suit Lotus - Grosjean

Romain Grosjean believes his Lotus will be well suited to the characteristics of the Hungaroring at this weekend but does not know whether it will be quick enough to take the team's first win of the season.

The Lotus has been quick in hot conditions this year and has proved to be well suited to slow and mid-speed corners. On paper the Hungaroring should play to the E20's strengths and Grosjean is hoping good weather allows his team to get the best from it.

"It can be a good weekend for us," he said. "The circuit has very similar characteristics to Monaco and Montreal where we were competing quite well. The weather is hopefully going to be fine from Friday to Sunday and that should mean proper summer and the proper heat. Then we will work from first practice to the race and get the best balance for qualifying and improve ourselves to try and get on the first two rows [of the grid] and go from there."

Asked whether the team needed to win for morale heading into the summer break, Grosjean added: "We want it quite hard and we'll push for it. But it's not always that when you think you are going to get it you get it. We just need to focus on what we can do, get to our highest level and then see if it's high enough to win."

Grosjean also confirmed that the team would be running its new double DRS device on Kimi Raikkonen's car during Friday practice.

"We have to modify the chassis around the top of the air intake so we could only do it on one car," he explained. "I had the previous update first on my car and we share everything. So let's see how it goes here and if we can manage to get it working even better and bring it for the future."
