Mercedes strong all round - Rosberg
Nico Rosberg does not think Mercedes will have a weak point this weekend after the pace it showed on both its long runs and over one lap during Friday practice.
Rosberg topped the first practice session but dropped behind Mercedes team-mate and title rival Lewis Hamilton in FP2, who was over a second quicker than Valtteri Bottas on his qualifying lap. Despite falling behind Hamilton in the second session Rosberg is pleased with the progress he made on his set-up.
"Today was a good day," Rosberg said. "The car was very quick; I think the track suits us so that's an awesome feeling. I found a good balance and I had a good long run at the end so all in all a good day. One-lap pace is good; it's good everywhere - one-lap, long-run, everywhere. The team has really brought a great car here."
After seeing Mercedes enjoy such a comfortable advantage Rosberg admits he expect its rivals to be a little closer on the first day of practice.
"I am a bit surprised but generally the car feels good. I feel comfortable and it's great to drive."
