Magnussen struggled with boiling drink and burning seat

Kevin Magnussen said a burning seat and boiling water supply meant his point at the Singapore Grand Prix was the hardest he has ever earned.
Magnussen took the final point on offer for tenth place but only after half a race of discomfort in his McLaren. During the safety car period between laps 31 and 37 he complained that his on-board drink was boiling and after the race said his seat got extremely hot.
"I don't know if something was wrong, but my seat was very hot," he said. "We'll have to check what was going on. We did our best and we got one point, and it was the hardest-earned point we ever had but it's better than nothing.
"I've lost a lot of water so I need to drink. It was extremely hot in the car."
Team principal Eric Boullier added: "The problem is the water was boiling so it was burning his mouth every time he was drinking.
"He was okay when he got out of the car but you could feel he gave it his all. It's strange and I don't know what's wrong. The telemetry for the batteries and everything was normal."
