Matt Mitrione will go seeking revenge at UFC 137 after the UFC paired him with heavyweight slugger Cheick Kongo on Thursday.

Kongo breathed new life into his ailing career with one of the all-time great comeback victories, when he knocked out Pat Barry whilst still being in a rocked state himself.

Mitrione is a team-mate of Barry, so he will no doubt feel pressure to avenge his friend's loss in what will undoubtedly be the biggest fight of his own career. Mitrione is 5-0 in the UFC coming off a win over Christian Morecraft, but Kongo represents a significant step up in class.

The fight will take place on the main card of the October 29 event in Las Vegas, which is headlined by Georges St-Pierre's welterweight title defence against Nick Diaz. A clash between BJ Penn and Carlos Condit is also expected to feature.
