Cro Cop v Nelson confirmed in loser-goes-home contest

The UFC has confirmed Mirko Cro Cop will take on Roy Nelson, as expected, at UFC 137.
Cro Cop initially announced the fight on Croatian television, before sources close to both fighters confirmed the news. The UFC has now given it official status, bolstering an already stacked UFC 137 card.
Georges St-Pierre v Nick Diaz will headline the event in a welterweight title encounter, while BJ Penn and Carlos Condit are widely expected to provide the co-main event. The UFC also announced Cheick Kongo v Matt Mitrione on Thursday.
For Cro Cop, the October 29 card could prove to be his last, with just one fight remaining on his UFC contract. Both men have lost their last two, so Nelson is also fighting for his future in Las Vegas.
Two other bouts were announced on Thursday, for UFC 136, with Dave Herman taking on Mike Russow - the man who knocked out Todd Duffee and stopped Jon Madsen in his last two outings.
Meanwhile, Josh Grispi gets one last chance in the UFC against Matt Grice at featherweight.
