England's Paul Sass gets UFC Live encounter

Paul Sass, the extremely talented English lightweight, will not appear at UFC 138, because he has been signed to the UFC Live card on October 1.

Sass, who is undefeated and holds the world record for successive triangle choke victories, will take on Michael Johnson in the 155lb division. UFC Live takes place in Washington.

The Team Kaobon fight won his UFC debut via his trademark triangle choke, and he will make an interesting stylistic match-up with Johnson. The American is a striker by trade, and will not want to be lured into Sass's deadly guard.

Johnson was the runner-up on season 12 of The Ultimate Fighter, suffering defeat to Jonathan Brookins in the final. However, he beat Edward Faaloloto last time out, who is scheduled to meet Terry Etim in his next bout.

Also announced on Thursday, Tyson Griffin will continue his hunt for the featherweight belt against Bart Palazweski, who drops down from lightweight for the UFC 137 clash.
