Koscheck gets Pierce instead of Condit

Josh Koscheck will now fight Mike Pierce at UFC 143 after having his initial opponent taken away from him.

Koscheck had been expecting to fight Carlos Condit on February 4, but that fight got scrapped when Georges St-Pierre was sidelined for 10 months. Condit will now fight St-Pierre's opponent Nick Diaz in the UFC 143 main event.

As a result, Koscheck now gets a rival who has previously accused him of ducking fights. Pierce claims he was once heading for a bout with Koscheck, but the former TUF contestant passed him onto his team-mate Jon Fitch.

Now they will get to settle their differences, with Pierce tweeting: "It's on! Kos tried wiggling out of this one too, but Feb 4th he's mine."
