Spanish Grand Prix winner Pastor Maldonado says that he is "full of confidence" heading to Monaco this weekend.

Maldonado delivered a superbly measured drive to beat Fernando Alonso in Spain and take his maiden grand prix victory, which was also his first podium. While the result in Barcelona was a shock one, Maldonado is being tipped to be strong again this weekend as somewhat of a Monaco specialist, and he admitted that his triumph in Spain had him aiming to be competitive again.

"Monaco is a very challenging circuit for the drivers both physically and mentality because you have to concentrate fully at all times," Maldonado said. "But I really enjoy this challenge and I have traditionally done well here in the past. I am full of confidence after my win at the last race so I go to Monaco with high hopes of getting another strong result for the team."

After making a mistake in qualifying and then being taken out of the race in Spain, Bruno Senna admits he just wants to recover from his Barcelona weekend by scoring "some good points".

"Monaco is one of my favourite tracks because despite being a street circuit it has a lot of flow to it and when you get dialled in you can put in some good laps," Senna said. "I have performed well there in the past and hopefully that trend will continue this weekend and we can get some good points."
