British heavyweight Dereck Chisora has been released without charge following his arrest by police in Munich on Sunday.

Chisora was questioned by police after his brawl with David Haye at the press conference that followed Chisora's WBC heavyweight title defeat to Vitali Klitschko on Saturday.

However, with police unable to track down Haye so he could assist with their enquiries, the decision was made to release Chisora.

Following a war of words at the press conference, Chisora confronted Haye and a melee ensued, with Haye appearing to strike his compatriot while holding a glass. When the pair had been separated, Chisora said that he was going to "shoot" Haye.

Earlier on Saturday, Chisora put up a brave performance before suffering a unanimous points defeat to Klitschko - the Brit's third defeat in his last four fights, a fact Haye reminded him of during their verbal war.

In turn, Chisora mentioned how Haye had blamed a broken toe for his disappointing performance against Wladimir Klitschko in July 2011.
