Rose poised to pounce at shortened Barclays

Justin Rose produced five birdies in six holes to keep himself in with the chance of a big-money win at The Barclays in New Jersey.
Rose backed up his opening round 67 with a sparkling 65 to move to ten-under, four shots off leader Matt Kuchar at the top of the leaderboard.
With New Jersey under a hurricane warning and up to ten inches of rain forecast for Sunday, tournament officials confirmed the event had been reduced to 54 holes, and Kuchar wasted no time in grabbing the lead at Plainfield Country Club.
The defending champion picked up four shots on the front nine on his way to a second-round 65 to move one stroke clear of Vijay Singh and Dustin Johnson, who leapt up the leaderboard with a flawless eight-under 63 . American Justin Bird sits in outright fourth place on 11-under.
Rose is a further stroke back on ten-under, alongside Ireland's Padraig Harrington, who kept himself in the hunt with a round of 67 featuring seven birdies and three bogeys.
With just 18 holes left to make his mark, Sergio Garcia finds himself six shots off the pace after signing for a five-under 66, while Luke Donald is two strokes further back.
Graeme McDowell improved on his opening round 72 with a 65 to ensure he will be around on Saturday, but Bubba Watson, Stewart Cink and Zach Johnson all missed the cut.
