Talk of Tiger Woods' return to competitive golf intensified on Tuesday with the claim that his coach has made the trip to Florida to work with the world No. 1.

Woods has not been seen in competitive action since the revelations about his private life broke. He has attended a clinic in a bid to combat the problems that led to his infidelity, but he was seen on the range near his Florida home last week.

The Masters is a little over a month away and it is being claimed that Hank Haney, the man who rebuilt Woods' swing in 2004, has arrived in Florida to begin work with the 34-year-old.

There has been no word as to when Woods will end his self-imposed exile, with it unlikely to be at the Transitions Championship in Palm Harbour next week, but it has been rumoured that the Tavistock Cup, an exhibition event at Isleworth on March 22 and 23, could see him return to action.

Woods' return will spark a media frenzy and Paul Casey has admitted he would be happy to play alongside the world No. 1 when he does step back on a course.

"It could be interesting," Casey said. "The sort of scrutiny will be on a level that's probably something we've never witnessed before.

"I've always enjoyed playing with the best players in the world, and especially the number one player in the world.

"There's always a lot of extra sort of distraction out there, but this time around it could be even more so."
