Donald celebrates daughter's birth on memorable day

Just four days after the sudden death of his father Colin, world No. 1 Luke Donald celebrated the birth of his second daughter, Sophia.

The world No. 1, who is bidding to become the first man to finish top of the money lists on both sides of the Atlantic, announced the birth of Sophia on Friday via his Twitter account.

"What an amazing day to have our daughter born on. 11-11-11," he said. "Sophia was even [born] at 2.11am. The No. 1 has been good to me, no more than today."

Donald missed last week's WGC-HSBC Champions event in Shanghai last weekend to be with his family ahead of the birth of his second child. Martin Kaymer's win in China saw the German close in on Donald in the Race to Dubai.
