Tiger Woods will consider applying for dual membership of the PGA and European Tours once changes are made to membership requirements in Europe in the near future.

The European Tour requires members to play 13 events, up from 11 when Woods last looked into joining the Tour in 2000.

But with officials expected to announce that the Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup and Seve Trophy will count towards that quota, Woods believes he would be in a position to compete on both sides of the Atlantic.

"I knew I would have to play one or two more events back then when it was 11 but now that criteria is 13," said Woods, currently in Turkey at the World Golf Final. "I don't know what my numbers are as I know I played 19 in the States this year and whether it crosses over or not but I will again look at it.

"I did play Abu Dhabi but then 13 are certainly a lot more than 11, especially playing full-time in the States."

The addition of the three competitions - along with the four majors, four World Golf Championship events and appearances in either Abu Dhabi or Dubai - would leave Woods no more than three events short of a full tour schedule, similar to his situation 12 years ago.
