Tampa Bay Championship leaderboard

Luke Donald has two shots to make up on the overnight leaders in the final round of the Tampa Bay Championship after he fought back on day three.

Donald, who had not broken the 70-barrier prior to the weekend, registered a four-under-par 67 to renew his title hopes in Florida, where there is a three-way tie for the lead involving Kevin Streelman, Justin Leonard and George Coetzee.

Defending champion Donald finds himself on an overall score of four-under thanks to his first flawless round of the week. The shorter holes were kind to the Brit, who found a quartet of birdies - two on par-threes and another couple on par-fours - to climb the leaderboard.

His effort was bettered by Streelman, who began the day level with Donald but finished it as one of the leaders on six-under. The American's 65 pulled him level with Leonard and Coetzee, who posted a 67 and 68 respectively.

Chasing that trio is a group of a four players on five-under, notably including Jim Furyk and Greg Chalmers. Furyk's round of 67 was one of the classiest of the day and was only spoiled by a couple of lapses on the par-fours.

Overnight leader Shawn Stefani faded badly as he fell to four-under with a score of 74. Stefani had carried a one-stroke advantage into the weekend but reached the turn at four-over for the day to leave him with a recovery job.

It proved an even worse day for Adam Scott, who had begun the third round trailing the leader by a single stroke. However, a catalogue of bogeys (seven in total) ruined his title chances as he slumped to one-under with a 76.

Elsewhere, Sergio Garcia disappointed with a 72 that dropped him back to three-under. The Spaniard had a real chance to force himself among the leaders but a double-bogey five at the 13th punctured his round.
