Woods hurt by Mickelson's Masters win - Monty

Tiger Woods will have been hurt by the manner of Phil Mickelson's win at The Masters, according to Colin Montgomerie. Woods made his comeback after a five-month hiatus from golf at the Augusta tournament, finishing five shots behind Mickelson in fourth place.
Montgomerie suggests that Woods was "stewing" after failing to win in his comeback tournament, and that his failure to succeed will spur him on to claim victory at his next event - at Quail Hollow on April 29.
"Knowing Woods as I do, he was probably stewing," Montgomerie said in his Daily Telegraph column. "He wanted to win and he definitely had a chance. He will want to make a point to Mickelson over the coming weeks.
"The way Mickelson pulled it off in front of an adoring nation will have hurt Woods, but it will have made him even more determined than ever."
Another man who will be determined to win the next Major is Lee Westwood, who finished second to Mickelson at The Masters. Westwood has now finished in the top three at each of the last three Major tournaments, leading Montgomerie to believe that he will eventually claim one of the game's top prizes.
"I believe Westwood will win one of the next six majors," he said. "Westwood has become a world-class player and it would not surprise me if he won the US Open at Pebble Beach in June. He will have a terrific chance at Pebble Beach because he is the best driver of a golf ball in the game today. He is long and consistently straight; never a bad combination."
