Tiger's swing coach quits
Tiger Woods' long-standing swing coach Hank Haney has announced that he will be leaving the role.
Haney, who teamed up with the world No. 1 in 2004, was at pains to insist that the decision was entirely his when speaking to the Golf Channel.
"Just so there is no confusion I would like to make it clear that this is my decision," Haney said. "I know Tiger Woods will be successful in the future no matter who helps him."
Woods has enjoyed mixed fortunes at the three tournaments he has played in since returning to golf in April. A fourth-place finish at The Masters was followed by a disastrous showing at Quail Hollow - where he failed to make the cut - and an injury-curtailed performance at The Players Championship.
Although his form fluctuated at those events, one constant was his erratic swinging from the tee - Woods is ranked 171st in the driving accuracy standings for PGA Tour players this year.
Woods said on Monday that he was not sure when he would return to golf after suffering a neck injury over the weekend.
