Sergio Garcia continues to struggle for form and his slump has seen him tumble out of the world's top 40.

The Spaniard has not won a tournament since landing the Players Championship in 2008 - with his best finish this year being a tied 22nd in the US Open. Garcia made a rare appearance on the European Tour last week at the BMW International Open, but it ended in disappointment as rounds of 77 and 76 saw him miss the cut by 12 strokes. And the abject nature of the display has resulted in Garcia slipping down from 36 to 41 in the rankings.

David Horsey claimed the BMW title and it catapulted him up from 188 to 94, while Bubba Watson's reward for sealing victory in the Travelers Championship was a 31-place rise to 45.

There was little change at the top of the world rankings, with Ian Poulter and Paul Casey the only movers inside the top ten - the pair trading places with Poulter moving ahead of Casey to No. 8. Tiger Woods remains at No. 1 for the 265th consecutive week.
