Woods woe continues with foul-mouthed outburst

Tiger Woods' frustrations got the better of him during his second round at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational when he appeared to swear at a television cameraman.

Woods, an eight-time winner and defending champion at Firestone, was picked up on Sky television saying "Guys, give me a little f*****g space" as he made his way into the rough to find his ball. Sky then apologised to viewers for Woods' curse.

The American is well adrift of Sergio Garcia's lead after he carded a frustrating two-over round of 72, leaving him 1-over for the tournament.

Woods is continuing his recovery from March 31 back surgery, but has only enjoyed two competitive under-par rounds out of the nine he's played since making his comeback.

Asked which hole pleased him the most on Saturday, Woods replied: "The 19th."

However, Woods' humour was only brief as he opened up to reveal his frustration: "If I could just hit the ball a little better. I hit it pretty decent today, which was nice, I just didn't [putt] well at all again. I couldn't get comfortable with my setup and it just kind of worked out that way."

There was, however, some positivity from the 38 year old. Despite only hitting the fairway six times, two of them came late in his round with the driver - a club which has caused him concern in recent weeks, particularly at the The Open.

"I actually smoked it coming home, which is nice," Woods said. "I figured something out there. Unfortunately, too little, too late. If I continue doing what I was doing coming in today, I'll be just fine.

"I just need more reps. Still continue to stay at it because I'm actually getting better the more rounds I'm playing. I'm actually getting my feel back.

"I'm hitting more shots pin-high right on the numbers. I just need to convert. If I putt normal the last two days, I shoot two or three under par, no problem."
