Woods 'mystique gone' , says Montgomerie

Colin Montgomerie feels Tiger Woods' air of invincibility has been shattered by the crisis that is threatening his marriage.
Woods announced on Saturday that he was taking an 'indefinite break' from golf after admitting he had been unfaithful to his wife, Elin Nordegren.
The world number one had kept his private life under wraps, but in recent weeks his image as a family man has been shattered by links with a number of women. Woods has admitted his infidelity and Montgomerie feels the 34-year-old will have to live with the stigma if and when he returns to the game.
"I think the mystique has gone," Montgomerie said. "He is suddenly, and I hate to say it, more normal now.
"It will have an impact on every tournament Tiger plays. There was an aura, but that has been split. It gives you more opportunity of winning these events."
Montgomerie does not feel golf will suffer as a result of Woods' public fall from grace. He added: "Let's hope golf is not damaged by that. It shouldn't be."
