Mark Webber says he is confident of challenging for victory in Sunday's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The Australian has endured a tough couple of races in Canada and Valencia but he is hoping that his track record at the circuit will stand him in good stead for the weekend.
"I like Silverstone a lot and I do fancy my chances," Webber told BBC Sport. "It's been a good track for me in the past and I have won there in most categories except Formula One, so I'm looking forward to trying to add a Formula One victory to my other victories there."
Webber, who lives in Buckinghamshire, says the British Grand Prix is one of his favourite races because of the history and tradition of Silverstone. A keen cricket fan, he says the circuit is motor racing's equivalent of the Lord's ground in London.
"There is a lot of history too with Silverstone. The people are very knowledgeable and we have a lot of British teams which is very exciting for the public who get very parochial about which teams and obviously which drivers they support.
"When I moved to Britain one of the first tracks I came to was Silverstone to go and have a look at it. It is almost like the Lord's of car racing in the UK. The weather can also throw up a mix but with the English summer this year it might be a nice weekend."
