Pedro de la Rosa does not think Ferrari's engine modifications will be ready in time for Sauber to incorporate in Spain.

The FIA granted Ferrari permission to implement a design fix for their engines on reliability grounds after a series of problems in the first four races.

And although Ferrari will have the fixes in place in time for Spain, De la Rosa doubts the same will be the case for the Ferrari powered Saubers.

"I very much doubt it," said De la Rosa, who also took time to defend seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.

"I wouldn't so quickly judge someone who has won seven world championships. I know him well and how good he is and I expect him to react."
