Shotgun Young to fight Omigawa on UFC 138 card

British featherweight star Jason Young will get the chance to show what he can do in front of a huge home audience after being paired with Michihiro Omigawa at UFC 138.

Young is highly-rated by the UFC, so much so that he was given Dustin Poirier on debut. Poirier is rated as the sixth best 145-pounder in the world, and Young pushed him in a decision loss.

Now the Brit, according to Fighters Only, gets another stiff test in the shape of Omigawa, whose record says he has lost his last two. However, defeat to Darren Elkins was highly-controversial and declared unofficially as an Omigawa win by president Dana White.

Young trains with Brad Pickett, who is also appearing on the November 5 card in Birmingham against Renen Barao. UFC 138 is headlined by Chris Leben v Mark Munoz.
