Jones and Jackson confirmed for UFC 135

Jon 'Bones' Jones and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson will fight for Jones' light-heavyweight title at UFC 135 in Denver, the UFC have confirmed.
A blockbuster fight between the two men had already been revealed last week by UFC president Dana White, although no fight date or official announcement could be made until both men had respective hand injuries resolved to the satisfaction of doctors.
Jackson aggravated a fractured left-hand during the course of his unanimous victory over Matt Hamill at UFC 130 last month, while 23-year-old Jones has struggled recently with a problem with his right hand that forced him to pull out of a previously scheduled title defence against Rashad Evans.
Both problems have evidently been resolved, however, as the UFC confirmed the fight is scheduled to be the main event at UFC 135, which is widely expected to take place at the Pepsi Center on September 24.
"UFC 135 in Denver has its headliners," a statement posted on the UFC's official Twitter account read. "[Jon Jones] and [Quinton Jackson] have verbally agreed to the light-heavyweight title bout."
Jones (13-1) is the reigning light-heavyweight champion after demolishing Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua at UFC 128.
Meanwhile, Jackson (32-8) won his second successive bout after seeing off Hamill in Las Vegas. His last defeat came to Evans at UFC 114.
