Leaders Manchester United should get a test of their unbeaten record this weekend when they travel to Tottenham in one of the most attractive matches on the calendar. Victory there would further their title ambitions but a defeat by an in-form Spurs side could blow the title race open once again.

The match at White Hart Lane is an attractive match at any time of the year but with Spurs enjoying one of their best ever seasons - certainly in the Premier League - there could be even more drama. Certainly there will be goals for the fixture is littered with them in recent years.

More on that shortly because the bet of the weekend lies elsewhere. At Anfield, to be exact. Now betting on the Merseyside derby takes a brave punter because anything can happen and on paper, this one looks very difficult to pick. However, there are certain things that make me think this could be Liverpool's turn.

Now I know predicting any Liverpool win at the moment is a precarious position to take but there are a number of important factors this weekend. Though Steven Gerrard is still suspended, Liverpool ought to be at full strength otherwise, and Fernando Torres seems to be showing signs of his best form once more.

Cambers' Calls

  • Bet of the weekend: Liverpool to beat Everton - 6/5 bet365
  • Weekend punt: Tottenham to beat Man Utd - 15/8 bet365
  • Weekend treble: Wigan, West Brom and Stoke to win - 8/1 bet365

Moreover, this will be Kenny Dalglish's first home match since returning as manager and he is sure to get a fabulous reception, with an atmosphere to match. Everton have caused Liverpool all sorts of problems in recent times but Tim Cahill, their best player by a mile, is absent because of the Asian Cup and that makes them far less of a goal threat.

Liverpool's home record, at least, is decent, with six wins out of 10 and just two losses and surely it's time for them to put on a bit of a show. You have to go back to 1999 to find the last time Everton won a league match at Anfield and since it's about time Liverpool had some luck, they can be the bet of the weekend, at 6/5 with bet365.

Back to Tottenham against United. Sir Alex Ferguson's side have an absolutely phenomenal record at White Hart Lane. It's almost 10 years since Spurs last beat United there and the way the visitors have been getting results without even playing their best bodes well for their chances again.

That said, if ever Tottenham are going to beat United then this could be the time. The team is full of goals, attacks throughout and in Gareth Bale, have a player who will run United ragged if he's given the chance. Rafael van der Vaart can't stop scoring at home and I think Spurs can finally get the win, so let's make them the weekend punt at 15/8 with bet365.

And so to the weekend treble. Wigan, at home, should be able to beat Fulham, those perenially bad travellers, at 6/4. Blackpool have been a revelation but they ran themselves into the ground to beat Liverpool in midweek and West Brom can take advantage by sending them home empty-handed at 4/5. Finally, Stoke City can see off Bolton in a physical battle at 11/10, all of which makes a treble worth just over 8/1.
