Honda's Melbourne engines join Twitter

Honda has taken a unique approach to previewing this weekend's Australian Grand Prix by giving both power units McLaren will use in Melbourne individual Twitter accounts.

McLaren kicks off the first season of its new partnership with Honda in Melbourne, with Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen set to drive. The latter is in the car as a replacement for Fernando Alonso, who is missing the race on medical advice after a crash during testing.

Honda took to Twitter on Monday to announce the power units Button (PU22) and Magnussen (PU14) will use in Melbourne had joined the world of social media.

Both accounts tweeted snappy quotes about their readiness for the weekend. Examples from either account can be seen below:

Both accounts also shared videos, with PU22's deserving special praise.

The Australian Grand Prix starts at 1600 local time on March 15.
