BT Sport has announced that their exclusive coverage of next season's Aviva Premiership will form part of their 'free' offering to customers who use its broadband services.
BT, which has spent vast amounts on high-profile sports rights, is keen to challenge BSkyB's dominance of the UK's sports pay-TV market and is aggressively targeting its existing customer base.
The channels will be available to non-broadband customers via Sky for a monthly fee but there is no agreement in place for Virgin Media.
BT Sport have also announced the line-up that present the channel's coverage of both the Premiership and France's Top 14. Joining Lawrence Dallaglio, who has already been confirmed as their lead analyst, will be other former England internationals Ben Kay, Austin Healey, Martin Bayfield and Matt Dawson.
Craig Doyle, who currently presents ITV's Premiership highlights show, will front the coverage, ESPN's Nick Mullins and BBC 5 Live's Alastair Ekyn will share the commentary duties while Sarra Elgan is set to feature as a pitchside reporter.
