Toulon have bolstered their fullback resources with the signing of Argentina star Juan Martin Hernandez who will step into the void left by James O'Connor when he returns to Australia in January.
Hernandez has been signed on a six-month contract, which begins in the New Year, and it signifies a return to the Top 14 after he left Racing Metro in July. He will bring a wealth of experience to Toulon having played for both Metro and Stade Francais while he has excelled on the international stage winning 47 caps for Argentina.
Hernandez will vie with Delon Armitage and Leigh Halfpenny for the fullback position and he may also slot in at fly-half with Frederic Michalak set for an extended spell on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
