The Bath fly-half contributed 75 points to England's Six Nations season this year, placing him fourth-equal in the English records.

The 75-point mark had been reached or bettered four times for England by Jonny Wilkinson.

He set the Six Nations record with 89 in 2001 and scored 78 in 2000, the first time Italy took part in the enlarged Championship. He also managed 77 in 2003 and 75 in 2002.

In the days of the Five Nations Championship, Jonathan Webb set the record for most points by an England player in a season with 67 in 1992.
