Fraser storms to lead in Coolum
Marcus Fraser took a commanding lead after the second round of the Australian PGA Championship with a seven-under 65 on Friday.
The Australian seized top spot on the leaderboard courtesy of a bogey-free round which also included seven birdies. Fraser, 33, has five career titles to his name, and is on track to notch another in Coolum as he moved two shots clear of the field.
American Bubba Watson leads the chasing pack on nine-under after he shot a solid 68 on day two. Watson claimed second place ahead of KT Kim, who finished the day on eight-under.
YE Yang sits a further stroke back at seven-under. After firing an eagle at the 15th, the 2009 USPGA Championship winner dropped three shots on the final two holes to wind up alongside Australian trio Robert Allenby, John Senden and Adam Scott.
US Open runner-up Jason Day is one of a host of players back at six-under, one stroke clear of overnight leader Joon-woo Choi. However, it was an unhappy day for Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke who slipped back into a tie for 33rd place after carding a one-over round of 73.
