The Welsh Rugby Union has revealed its new digital mascot Scorch who is the new face of the matchday experience at the Millennium Stadium.

It is said Scorch is "intended to personify the passion and pride of Wales' rugby stars" and WRU head of marketing Craig Maxwell hopes the Welsh public "take him in as one of their own just as the players will be inspired by him".

The WRU has used British & Irish Lion Jonathan Davies as part of their marketing campaign and he is looking forward to seeing Scorch in action. He said: "We will all be looking forward to the first time someone crosses that white line this November, hopefully it will be someone in a red shirt against the Springboks, and the crowd can enjoy the animation."
