Dan Carter takes ice bucket challenge

Dan Carter is the latest high-profile rugby star to undertake the ALS ice bucket challenge to raise funds to fight motor neuron disease.

Joost van der Westhuizen, Springboks coach Heyneke Meyer, Wallabies half-back Nic White, Jame s O'Connor, Australian Rugby Union chief executive Bill Pulver and IRB chief Brett Gosper are among the rugby identities to have undertaken in challenge in the past week.

Carter nominated three former All Blacks team-mates to undertake the challenge.

ALS Association now has reportedly received more than US$94 million since starting the challenge.
