Fuming Wladimir cannot forgive Chisora

Wladimir Klitschko has further vented his anger towards Dereck Chisora, describing the Brit's apologies as 'unacceptable'.

Chisora made front-page news with a series of unsavoury incidents during his unsuccessful trip to Germany, where he fell short in his bid to relieve Vitali Klitschko of his WBC heavyweight title.

At the pre-fight weigh-in Chisora slapped Vitali, before spitting at Wladimir in the ring. After a one-sided contest, which Vitali won on the scorecards, Chisora brawled with David Haye at the post-fight press conference.

And although Chisora, who has been suspended indefinitely by the WBC, "wholeheartedly apologised" for his conduct, Wladimir says saying sorry is not enough to repair the damage done.

"Such behaviour needs to stop otherwise we're going to give a bad example for the fans, for the youth. It was such a big stage where Chisora was; presenting himself on the world stage with the world champion, and the way that he handled it - it's not good for the youth and for the fans.

"It's really something that has damaged the legacy of boxing. Such champions as Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Rocky Marciano, Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis, they have been polishing and making boxing as glamorous as possible. With such behaviour he is spitting in their face, not in my face, but he's spitting in the face of the history and the world champions and that is not acceptable.

"I heard some of the apologies that he mentioned almost the next day - I don't believe in those apologies, I don't accept those apologies. It's something his advisors told him 'man you got to say because it will help reduce your suspension'. Right now I don't believe any apologies, and neither does my brother [Vitali]. There has to be consequences and I'm looking forward how it's going to end up."
