Bohn on top after first-round 65

American Jason Bohn is the clubhouse leader at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans after setting the early pace with a seven-under-par round of 65.
Bohn narrowly missed out on setting a new course record of 63 as he bogeyed the par-five 18th hole after finding water with his second shot. That was the only blemish in an otherwise accomplished round which featured seven birdies.
Chris Couch, who won the tournament in 2006, posted a score of 67 and is tied in second with Australian John Senden and fellow Americans Jeff Overton and Jason Dufner.
Former world No. 1 David Duval showed signs of recapturing former glories en-route to a first-round 68. The 2001 British Open Champion is joined on the same total by Charles Howell III and Kevin Sutherland.
K.J. Choi, who finished third at the Masters earlier this month, sits a further shot back at three-under, while South African Rory Sabbatini looked back to his best as he went round in 70.
Englishman Brian Davis, playing his first round since earning plaudits for calling a two-stroke penalty on himself during last weekend's Verizon Heritage event, carded an encouraging round of 71. Justin Rose also finished at one-under, alongside defending champion Jerry Kelly.
Sergio Garcia, looking to bounce back from missing the cut at last week's Verizon Heritage, where he collapsed to a second-round 77 after an opening 67, endured another miserable day. The world No. 23, the highest ranked player in the field this week, slumped to a disappointing 74, leaving him with work to do to avoid missing the cut for the second week in a row.
