Jason Bohn is being forced to cope with a series of disruptions as he attempts to hold on to his lead in the Zurich Classic. The American's latest effort has been halted six holes into round three, with Bohn still maintaining a three-shot advantage.

After carding a superb seven-under-par 65 in round one, Bohn initially did not get out on the course for round two, after lightening caused the suspension of play. When he did resume play on Saturday, the 37-year-old carded another fine effort of 67 before heading straight back to the first hole to begin his third round.

However, poor light halted Bohn once again - six holes into his third round - leaving him on top of the leaderboard on 12-under, three shots ahead of his nearest rival. When play resumes, Bohn faces the prospect of playing 30 consecutive holes in his bid for a second PGA Tour title.

"It's going to be another long day," Bohn said. "I think, I have 30 holes to play so we've just got to stay patient.

"That is the thing. You have to wait for your opportunities out here."

Australia's Greg Chalmers and Germany's Alex Cejka pose the greatest threat to Bohn back on nine-under, with Chalmers having played one extra hole in comparison to the other two players. Both men have begun the penultimate round in better form than the leader, going three and two-under respectively as Bohn waits on even-par through six.

A stroke further back is England's Greg Owen who, having reached nine-under, bogeyed the par-four sixth during his third round to drop a shot to eight-under. Owen has 10 holes of his third round to complete when play resumes. Kevin Sutherland, Shaun Micheel, John Senden and Jeff Overton are also on eight-under.

Elsewhere, Brian Davis dealt poorly with the disruptions on day three, going one-over through six to fall back to six-under for the tournament. European Ryder Cup team-mates Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia were both at two-under after 14 holes.
