Faldo reveals Monty Ryder Cup snub

Sir Nick Faldo has revealed Colin Montgomerie snubbed his offer to hold a Ryder Cup meeting at the BMW International Open.

Faldo was the previous acting captain at the Ryder Cup, and he offered to give Montgomerie all of his knowledge in Munich. Faldo's side were beaten by USA two years ago in Valhalla.

Montgomerie had even suggested publicly that he would be keen to discuss the forthcoming October event with Faldo, but he did not even make communication with the 52-year-old in Germany.

"I didn't just want to make my views known to him through the media, so I wrote to Monty suggesting we meet up for a chat," Faldo told the Mail on Sunday.

"But I have not had a reply. I don't think I need say any more than that. It says it all."
