Ireland face losing scrum-half Conor Murray for the autumn internationals after he was cited for striking Niko Matawalu with the elbow during Munster's win over Glasgow on Friday.
If found guilty at a hearing on Wednesday, Murray could be banned for eight weeks, ruling him out of Ireland's Tests with Samoa, Australia and New Zealand.
A Glasgow Warriors spokesperson said: "We believe a dangerous act of foul play was committed by a Munster player against Niko Matawalu. We have formally written to the citing commissioner to draw his attention to this."
