At times over the last week it has seemed Warren Gatland is on a mission to create a record for contentious news stories.
The latest offering came during an interview with Irish radio station Galway Bay FM when he said he had tried to take Robbie Henshaw for Wales.
"I saw him when we were over here with the Lions and that was before he was capped," Gatland said. "I asked him if he had any Welsh qualifications. I said: 'I'll cap you if they don't do it quick enough'." Henshaw made his full Ireland debut in the summer tour to the USA.
