'We will act differently' in Germany - Horner

Red Bull boss Christian Horner has revealed that Mark Webber will now get preference within the team at the German Grand Prix, after moving ahead of Sebastian Vettel in the drivers' championship with a win at Silverstone.

In qualifying for the British Grand Prix on Saturday, Vettel was given a front wing update over Webber and took pole position. Horner said the decision to give the only remaining wing to Vettel had been made because he was higher in the championship and performed better with the update during practice.

However, Webber was clearly upset about the decision and on his victorious slow-down lap after winning Sunday's race said over the team radio: "Not bad for a No. 2 driver".

"Mark is now ahead in the points, so we will act differently at the next race," Horner told the BBC. "We have a great team result at this race and sometimes difficult team decisions have to be made. There is very little difference between them and as a team we try to give them the same components but this weekend we couldn't because of an incident. But we will continue trying to catch the McLarens.

He added: "Mark is pushing very hard but sometimes you just have to make very difficult team decisions. We won the race and we should just be really happy about it."

Mark Webber is now seven points ahead of Vettel and 17 behind championship leader Lewis Hamilton.
